pre-conference tour, April 20-21: ubc's okanagan campus, kelowna
UBC invites BC2018 participants to begin their conference experience at their beautiful Okanagan Campus in Kelowna. This Pre-Conference Event will include:
- Social events including on Friday afternoon and evening, including:
- a Tour of Okanagan Innovation Centre,
- a Private Tour of Mission Hill Family Estate Winery,
- Dinner at 19 Okanagan at Two Eagles Golf Course;
- One night's hotel in Kelowna on Friday, April 20 at the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort (and counsellors can take advantage of a reduced rate of $189/night for up to two nights prior if they choose to travel to Kelowna early. If you plan to do so, you will have to email Kate Lohr at UBC directly and she will confirm your place at the hotel; do not contact the hotel directly to reserve a room for an extra night or two.)
- An extensive program on the UBC's Okanagan Campus on Saturday, April 21;
- Chartered air transportation from Kelowna to Victoria on Saturday evening.
conference day 1, april 22: Victoria
Day 1 will consist of:
- An official over breakfast at the Hotel Grand Pacific
- A Campus Visit & Program at University of Victoria
- Professional Development Sessions at University of Victoria led by CISC Colleagues
- A Visit to Brentwood College School
- Professional Development Sessions led by CISC Colleagues and Admissions Colleagues from universities in the Canada & United States
- Dinner & Networking with North American University Admissions Colleagues
conference day 2, april 23: vancouver
Day 2 will consist of:
- Travel by BC Ferries from Vancouver Island to the Lower Mainland (Vancouver)
- A Campus Visit & Program at Simon Fraser University
- Professional Development Sessions at Simon Fraser University led by CISC Colleagues
- A Visit to Mulgrave School
- Professional Development Sessions led by CISC Colleagues and Admissions Colleagues from universities around the world
- Dinner & Networking with International University Admissions Colleagues
- An evening social event in Vancouver:
- "Australia Night in Vancouver" - Lift Bar & Grill - 9PM
conference day 3, April 24: vancouver
Day 3 will consist of:
- Morning brunch
- Campus Visits & Programs at Emily Carr University of Art & Design and University of British Columbia's Vancouver Campus
- Professional Development Sessions led by CISC Colleagues
- Closing Gala Dinner at UBC Alumni Centre
